Cette proposition s’inscrit dans le cadre d’une exposition collective qui se tenait dans les bureaux de la Fondation Kadist à Paris.
La règle que nous nous étions fixée au départ était de proposer des pièces qui seraient installées dans la bibliothèque du lieu puis ensuite ouvertes, déployées dans l’espace.
Espace d’exposition inhabituel, ces bureaux abritaient donc un élément plastique fort : une grande bibliothèque peinte dans un nuancier de bleus. Nous avons choisi de développer ce “potentiel bleu” dans l’espace.
Entre peinture, sculpture et objet utilitaire, nous avons installé six rouleaux de moquette noire dont le revêtement au dos était d’un bleu qui entrait dans le nuancier de la bibliothèque. Au départ enroulés dans les cases de la bibliothèque, nous les avons déroulés lors du vernissage de l’exposition et ainsi répandu de la couleur et de la matière dans tout l’espace.
Ces bandes bleues pouvaient ensuite être repliées ou déployées par les employées de la fondation Kadist.

In the office of Kadist Art Foundation, we created a site specific installation. We noticed that the bookcase looked like a blue color chart. We decided to use it and to extend it to transform the office space. We developed this “blue potential” into the space.
The main rule of the exhibition was to put all the works inside the bookcase and then to get everything out during the opening.
It was a proposition between painting, sculpture and useful object. We rolled inside the bookcase six bands of carpet with black color on one side and blue colour on the other side. At first, each rolled carpet was like a black box and then we unrolled them to spread the colour out of the grid, change the contact with the floor and the atmosphere of the room. These blue bands could then be rolled/unrolled by employees of Kadist Art Foundation.
